The conference stems from the need for a renewed discussion between historical and archaeological research and Cultural Heritage management around “cultural landscapes”. If research on this topic has a well-established tradition, especially in archaeology, discussion in the field of cultural heritage has only recently started, with only but few examples of safeguard and valorisation plans implemented for cultural landscapes.
